Clean Bandit has €40,000 worth of gear stolen

With the recent release of a massive new single alongside David Guetta and Anne-Marie, English trio Clean Bandit headed to Ibiza to film a music video. Unfortunately, the group was robbed while on the island with thousands of dollars worth of equipment taken.

For English trio Clean Bandit, they were in celebratory mode as they released their latest single Cry Baby alongside David Guetta and Anne-Marie. The single deserved a music video to match the hype of the artists involved and the group headed to Ibiza to finish the project. Unfortunately, the video shoot ended on a sour note as thieves made off with €40,000 worth of gear. The robbery took place after the video was shot and the footage safely back in the UK, but the crime was nonetheless a tragic experience.

Talking to The Sun, Clean Bandit cellist and vocalist Grace Chatto said, "Jack and Luke [Patterson] flew back to London because they had to edit the video, so luckily the footage was safe," she explains. "But I was supposed to bring back the lenses. We went out for dinner, then, when we came back, someone had crowbarred the window and taken the lenses and laptops and cash." While the group hopes that insurance will help them recover their losses, the crew that had remained on the island no longer felt safe sleeping at their location.
