A Bury resident has shared his frustration around a 'persistent' fly-tipping hot spot.
Jim Sutcliffe, 59, lives near Heap Bridge and works as part of the environmental team for a nearby council.
He claims that, despite reporting piles of rubbish, including household waste and building materials, "nothing is being done" to ease the issue.
Jim shared that the area of land just off Pilsworth Road has been used as a place to leave illegal waste for "at least nine months".
He said: "I know there have been hundreds of reports about this. I've been reporting it myself since January, but nothing is being done.
"People keep on adding to it with coffee cups, black bags of rubbish, mattresses, and things like that.
"It's a bl**dy eyesore and is getting ridiculous now."

The fly-tipping sits outside the Vividor Pilsworth South landfill site.
Although it is unclear exactly who the land belongs to, a spokesperson for Bury Council confirmed that it is privately owned.
This means the responsibility to clear the mess does not fall on the council.
Viridor sold all its landfill operations to Valencia Waste Management in 2022. Jim says he has contacted Valencia on several occasions but has yet to receive a response.
Jim is also a volunteer at Keep Bury Clean, a community-driven initiative focusing on cleaning up the town and promoting environmental conservation.
He has been actively picking up litter in the area for more than 15 years during his free time.
Jim added: "If [the rubbish] was in the area I work, we'd have cleared it up within five days.

People who are found fly-tipping could face a significant fine and even imprisonment.
In England and Wales, it is a criminal offence to leave litter in open-air public and private areas under section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
The number of fly-tipping incidents in 2023-24 for Bury totalled 2,832, with data showing the amount on highways was 755, 308 on footpaths, and 1,342 on back alleyways.
Valencia Waste Management has been contacted for comment.
