Ways of strengthening further military cooperation between Morocco and Rwanda were at the center of talks held Tuesday in Rabat between Lt. General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces & Commander of the South Zone and Maj. General Vincent Nyakarundi, Chief of Staff of the Rwanda's Army.
The two Generals have reaffirmed shared commitment to advance partnership with a view to building an enduring and exemplary military cooperation between the two countries armies.
The visit of Maj. General Vincent Nyakarundi to the North African Kingdom is part of the military cooperation agreement sealed in June 2025 in Rabat between the two countries, says a press release issued by the Royal Armed Forces General Staff.
Rwanda's Army Chief has praised the excellent ties existing between Morocco and Rwanda, saying his visit is an opportunity to foster further military cooperation and dialogue between the two countries' armies.
Relations between Morocco and Rwanda, which have gained momentum since the historic visit paid by King Mohammed VI to Kigali in 2016, are evolving towards a strategic partnership focusing on development, security and peace in Africa.
