Lauren Walker poured in 37 points as Central DeWitt sealed its trip to Des Moines and the Class 4A state tournament with a 76-63 home win over Clear Creek-Amana in the Region 4 championship game on Tuesday night.
The Sabers last qualified for state during the 2021-22 campaign.
Walker, who averages 25 points per game, scored 25 points in the second half alone after Central DeWitt led 37-23 at the break. Walker made four 3s and sank 11 of 12 free throws.
Landre Ruggeberg hit for 15 points for the Sabers, who improved to 20-4 overall. Clara LeConte and Ava Putman added nine points each.
Lena Evans topped Clear Creek-Amana with 19 points.
