FAIRFIELD -- Fairfield Poet Laureate Suzanne Bruce, in collaboration with the Fairfield-Suisun City Visual Arts Association, invites locals to write a poem to an art piece from the exhibit "Open Show," from Sept. 11 through Oct. 26 at the Solano Town Center Gallery, 1350 Travis Blvd.

You can also view the art online starting Sept. 10 at www.fvaa-arts.org. There is an Art Reception and Poetry Reading from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 21 at the gallery, Suite D-8 on the second floor.

Send poems in a Word document or pdf with a picture of the art above the poem by 5 p.m. Sept. 18 to [email protected]. Keep poems to 42 lines or less.
