Bihar Election Results 2025: The tide in Bihar on Friday seems to be unmistakably turning in favour of the National Democratic Alliance, powered primarily by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (United).
What has added an unexpected twist to the contest is Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), which has surged ahead as one of the most striking performers in the ruling coalition's sweeping march.
Going by the latest figures, the NDA is cruising toward an emphatic mandate. By early afternoon, the alliance had already surged past the 200-seat milestone, signalling a return to its impressive 2010 benchmark. Strong showings by both the BJP and JD(U) have fuelled this momentum.
For the opposition's INDIA bloc, however, the numbers paint a grim picture. The Congress, in particular, has been pushed to the margins, clinging to the lead in only one constituency -- a stark reflection of its diminishing foothold in the state.
Currently, as of 4.55 pm, the BJP has secured nine seats and are leading in another 82, while the JD(U) has won six seats with a lead in 77. Meanwhile, RJD has won three seat and is leading in 24 constituencies, LJPRV has one one constituency and is ahead in 19 seats, AMIM and HAMS have the lead in five seats each, and INC and RSHTLKM are the leading parties in four constituencies. Meanwhile, CPI(M), CPI(ML)(L) and BSP are leading in one seat each.
