Early voting for the new Nationalist Party leader continued on Saturday with a total of 40 per cent of eligible voters casting their votes in the first two days of polling.

After 15 per cent of eligible voters cast their vote on Wednesday August 27, a further 25 per cent of voters took to the polls on the second day of early voting on Saturday.

A total of 20,600 PN fully paid-up party members (tesserati) are eligible to vote to select either Adrian Delia or Alex Borg as the next party leader.

The official election day is Saturday September 6 and voting will close during the party's final session of the General Convention.

On September 6, polling will take place at the PN Headquarters and PN Clubs in Safi, Tarxien and Mġarr from 9am to 7pm. Voting in Gozo will take place at the Sannat PN sub-headquarters.
