Love Is Blind's Kacie 'Likes' Comment About Show Not Being Real

Love Is Blind season 9 star Kacie McIntosh has thoughts about watching her pod love story with Patrick Suzuki unfold.

This post contains spoilers for Love Is Blind season 9.

"Love Is Blind season 9 looking fine," Kacie, 32, wrote via TikTok on Tuesday, September 30, hours before the first batch of episodes dropped on Netflix. "Follow my journey to find love tomorrow!!"

Kacie also added, "Let's see if love is truly blind."

Kacie's TikTok comments section was soon flooded with fans upset with her and Patrick's story line.

"Oooyyy people be NICE!" one fan replied in the comments. "And chilllll, it's a fckn reality TV show. It ain't REAL!"

Kacie quietly "liked" the message, later telling another TikTok user "same" with a laughing emoji when the individual said they couldn't wait to watch the new episodes.

The hair and makeup artist sparked a connection with Patrick, 30, in the pods while he was also getting to know Anna Yuan. After Anna, 28, abruptly left the experiment, Patrick focused on his connection with Kacie and proposed sight unseen.

"I just think I have waited for you forever," Kacie told Patrick in the pods. "I know I said that a lot, but I'm just so grateful you saw me for me and got past some of the things you're going to have to. I really love you, and I've never had somebody make me feel so sure about me."

Kacie accepted Patrick's proposal, later leaping into his arms when they finally met in person. Things changed a few hours later.

"Look where we're at now. This is, like, what do you want me to explain?" Kacie tearfully told producers in a confessional. "He deserves somebody better than me. He's not a bad-looking guy in any sense, but he deserves somebody that is so obsessed with him."

Kacie subsequently attempted to call off her engagement, telling Patrick that it didn't feel right going on the couple's vacation to Mexico.

"I love you so much, like, I was so happy. I just can't do this anymore. I need to go home," she told Patrick, without telling him she wanted to end their engagement. "I don't want to go to Baja. I'm sorry. It's not that I'm not in love with you, [but] I just can't do the TV show anymore."

Patrick appeared to understand Kacie's perspective, hoping that they could continue seeing one another back in Denver, Colorado. They then kissed multiple times before departing for their respective hotels.

"I still feel good about her," Patrick said in a confessional that night. "I think we'll probably take it slow with her moving forward, but she says she still loves me. I think she's pretty genuine. I don't think she's gaslighting [and] you can tell we're attracted to each other. It has nothing to do with physical attraction [as she told me it didn't]."

A separate confessional of Kacie's, however, hinted that attraction was the driving force for pausing their romance.

"I just, unfortunately, don't think my attraction to him is gonna grow that much, and it sucks," she said. "I just know it won't, and I think it would be so unfair to him to have us go to Mexico and then me have to tell him there that I just don't think I could get there with him, like, period.'"
