Dorchester Minerals LP completed an acquisition of minerals interests totaling approximately 3,050 net royalty acres in Adams County, Colorado, from an undisclosed seller, according to a Sept. 2 press release.
The transaction was structured as a non-taxable contribution and exchange, Dallas-based Dorchester said.
Rather than a cash payment, the contributing entities received 915,694 common units representing limited partnership interests in Dorchester, the release stated. Dorchester was trading at $25.30 per unit on Sept. 2 at market close.
Last year, Dorchester bought overriding royalty interests in Weld County, Colorado. The assets totaled approximately 1,204 net royalty acres in the D-J Basin.
