Fish sold in Ohio recalled for being illegally imported

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A fish product distributed in multiple states, including Ohio, was recalled after authorities learned it was illegally imported.

The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a recall for C&T Produce Wholesale Inc.'s 2 pound boxes of Peppered Dried Catfish because the Vietnamese production facility was not eligible to export catfish to the US.

Although no adverse effects have ben reported in connection to the product, the FSIS suggested that those who still have the product to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
