Man in 60s in critical condition after hit-and-run crash outside Pacoima gas station

A man in his 60s remains in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash outside of a gas station in Pacoima back in January.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Jan. 12, when a white pickup truck driving northbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard from Terra Bella Street struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road near a crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police say that the driver of the truck continued in the same direction, failing to stop and aid the victim.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

A standing reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the city of Los Angeles for any member of the public who provides information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect driver.

In hopes that someone will come forward, police released a video of the crash that can be seen on their YouTube channel.

Anyone who knows more is urged to contact LAPD investigators at (213) 677-8157.
