CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cavs' point guard Darius Garland paid homage to his father, Winston Garland during the All-Star 3-point Contest in San Francisco on Saturday night. Winston played in Golden State from 1987-90.

Garland donned a black Cavs No. 22 jersey that had his father's name on the back.

Garland advanced to the second round with 24 points, the second most in the first round. Buddy Hield had 31 points, finishing second in the event.

He had 19 points in the final round, finishing third in the contest. Miami's Tyler Herro won the event, ending with 24 points in the second round.

The last Cavalier to win the 3-point contest was Kyrie Irving in 2013.

Garland now reunites with Evan Mobley, who won the All-Star Skills Challenge alongside Donovan Mitchell, on Kenny "The Jet" Smith's All-Star team on Sunday.
