What: Experience the opening reception of The Halsey Institute's newest exhibition, Demond Melancon: "As Any Means Are Necessary." Melancon works solely with a needle and thread to sew glass beads onto canvas. He began this practice when he first joined a centuries-old culture known as the Black Masking Culture of New Orleans, and became well known for creating massive Suits as a Black Masker. "As Any Means Are Necessary" will debut a completely new type of art object in Melancon's practice.
