The Rundown: Buckmasters Expo, Lobster Fest, BBQ Cookoff and more

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) -- This weekend, there are events for everyone, from hunters and runners to food lovers. You are guaranteed to find something to get you out on the town. It's time for The Rundown.

Let's start this week's episode with an event that is back in the capital city, The Buckmasters Expo 2024! It is happening Friday through Sunday at the Montgomery Convention Center. This is the largest hunting and outdoor expo in the southeast. The expo will feature Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, Free Riverboat Rides, Bull Riding & more. With over 300 booths, there's something for everybody. This sounds like the place to be. Even if you are not a hunter. You are guaranteed to have a good time at Buckmasters! The only cost to get in is a can of food or 1 dollar. You don't want to miss this one!

If you are a runner, walker, or just a Hornets fan, you don't want to miss the ASU Buzz Run 5K happening this Saturday starting at 7 a.m.

Prattville YMCA will be making a splash this weekend with its annual fundraiser, Sink-a-palooza. Come out, have some fun for a good cause, and be sure to sink our meteorologists Josh Johnson and Amanda Curran's ships while you're there.

Alright, I have one question. Where are my barbecue lovers at? It's that time of year again for the 5th annual Midtown YMCA Tailgate BBQ Cook-Off. There will be family fun, music, and more. And we can't forget, there will be several teams making barbecue for you to try. Barbecue chicken, barbecue ribs, I mean I could go on and on. The cook-off is Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

For my seafood lovers, this weekend is the annual River Region Lobster Fest 2024, come out and enjoy some fresh Maine Lobster for a great cause.

Also happening is Library Fest, where there will be games, line dancing, and food trucks. For more details, or if you would like a full list of events, just look below.
