In a few hours -- just like that -- the 2025 Alabama high school football regular season will be in the books.
Tonight's schedule is much more limited than an ordinary Friday night with only 52 games on the schedule statewide. However, there are a few intriguing matchups.
Baldwin County travels to McGill-Toolen in a 6A, Region 1 battle; Tuscaloosa Academy takes on a surging Bayside Academy team in Daphne; Oneonta travels to Boaz; and Grissom hosts Buckhorn at Joe Davis Stadium. Also, Brewton rivals T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal renew the annual "Battle of Murder Creek."
Check back frequently for updates on those games and others across the state. At the end of the night, we will have all the final scores and the unofficial first-round playoff pairings.
Here we go with Week 11:
7:02 PM, North Alabama matchup: Buckhorn gets the ball to start as the team faces Grissom at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville. The Bucks (6-3) are trying to clinch a seven-win season for the first time since 2007 under first-year coach David Green.
6:45 PM, Recruit watch: Cincy commit Dadrien Waller and Guntersville warming up for rival Albertville tonight.
This will be the 111th edition of the rivalry between the two programs, which dates back to 1914. Guntersville has won the last six matchups against Albertville.
6:30 PM, Rivers getting close? St. Michael junior QB Gunner Rivers threw three TD passes Thursday night, including the game-winner below. Rivers, the No. 3 prospect in AL.com's Best in Bama, is scheduled to visit Auburn this weekend for the Tigers' game with Kentucky. He is also expected to visit Alabama and N.C. State later in the year. Through 10 games this year, Riers has thrown for 2,493 yards and 41 TDs. He's been intercepted just four times.
5 PM, More on the Choose Act court battle: The legal battle which may ultimately lead to the AHSAA separating private schools from public schools is continuing. Gov. Kay Ivey and Alabama House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter filed a motion Friday opposing the AHSAA's request to dismiss Ivey's suit against the organization. Read more here on the fight.
