Philips is set to revive its Ambilight ecosystem with a new feature dubbed AmbiScape, allowing users to sync their Ambilight TVs with a wide range of third-party smart lights including Philips Hue, Ikea, Wiz, Osram and Nanoleaf.
After dropping its long-running Ambilight + Hue support in 2023, Philips left many loyal fans frustrated by the lack of ambient lighting integration beyond the TV.
But the company now appears ready to make amends, with AmbiScape appearing in the latest firmware for its 2025 Titan OS-based OLED and LCD models.
According to the Phillips blog Toengel, AmbiScape is currently available on the new Philips OLED760 (OLED770), MLED950, MLED910 (MLED920) and PUS9000 series TVs.
The feature does not yet extend to Android-based OLED models, suggesting it will remain exclusive to Philips' Titan platform for now.
Philips describes AmbiScape as a system that "extends the TV's Ambilight to the room environment by using your smart bulbs from third-party providers."
The feature is built on the open-source Matter smart home standard, ensuring compatibility well beyond the company's own Hue ecosystem.
Users can expect plug-and-play pairing with popular bulbs such as the IKEA TRÅDFRI, Nanoleaf Wi-Fi E27, and WiZ RGB A60, among others.
While Philips has not yet made an official global announcement, the early rollout suggests AmbiScape is in active testing and may receive a formal debut alongside the brand's 2026 TV lineup.
The move comes as Philips pushes Ambilight technology back into prominence across its broader range, from consumer TVs to professional hospitality models.
Its recently announced MediaSuite 6000 Series also includes Ambilight integration, Apple AirPlay and Google Cast support.
