Aldi's latest wine hit has caused chaos after stealing the show on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and shoppers can't get enough.
The Specially Selected Cigales Rosado (£8.99), a stunning Spanish rosé from an under-the-radar region has become the drink everyone's talking about after wine expert Helen McGinn described it as "gorgeous".
What started as a joke on Saturday Kitchen quickly turned into a supermarket stampede. Helen later shared the moment on Instagram, posting: "Don't tell everyone about it" and "Don't buy this horrible wine 🙀😜"
She quickly cleared things up, adding, "It's actually a gorgeous Spanish rosé - props to @aldiuk for stocking this one 🙌."
Followers admitted they'd dashed straight to Aldi to stock up.
"Went straight to Aldi and definitely didn't buy 6 bottles on Saturday 😉."
"Beautiful wine. I'll have to run down and get stocked up!"
I tried The Specially Selected Cigales Rosado, and it's as pretty as it looks - pale pink, elegant, and bursting with delicate aromas of rosehip, cranberry and redcurrant, leading to a crisp, dry palate with zesty grapefruit and pomegranate.
It's refreshing, vibrant and full of life - it's proof that rosé isn't just for summer.
I also tried the new Méthode Cap Classique (£9.99, 75cl), Aldi's new festive alternative to Champagne.
