Amazon Prime Day shoppers snap up 'game-changing' Ring camera for £4.55 with deal stack - Yorkshire Live

Amazon customers have been rushing to snap up a handy security camera that has been slashed in price. As part of the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale that ends at 11:59 on October 8, security-conscious shoppers can make big savings with a clever deal stack.

Ring has launched the second generation of its Indoor Camera, designed to offer simple, plug-in home security with added control and flexibility for users. Already reduced from £39.99 to £19.99, a new deal from TopCashback could take the price down to just £4.55.

The new Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) provides 1080p HD video, allowing homeowners to check in on their property, family, or pets in real-time through live video streaming. It also features two-way talk, which lets users communicate remotely via the Ring app.

For new TopCashback members who are also Amazon Prime subscribers, this clever indoor camera could cost as little as £4.55 after cashback. By setting up a free TopCashback account here, shoppers receive a £15 sign-up bonus, which can be applied alongside cashback earned on an Amazon order. Together, these savings reduce the price from £39.99 to just £4.55 - a discount of around 88%.

Existing members of TopCashback and Prime members of Amazon can still enjoy a bargain buy. With over 50% off in the sale, cashback from Amazon takes the price down a little more to £19.55.

A standout feature of the Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) is its removable privacy cover, which can be swivelled to turn off the camera and microphone, giving full control over what it sees and hears. It can also set up 'privacy zones' to block certain areas from view.

Installation is designed to be quick and straightforward. The camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall using the included bracket and plugs directly into a standard electrical socket for continuous power.

For anyone with Alexa-enabled devices, the camera can be controlled hands-free for extra convenience. It also links easily with other Ring products, creating a connected home security setup that offers an affordable, motion-activated alternative to traditional CCTV systems.

To enjoy all of the features, users will need to sign up for a Ring Protect subscription (sold separately), which unlocks additional features such as video recording and storage. Using the Ring app, householders can see what's happening at home from anywhere at any time.

Security cameras for the home are always a popular purchase, especially as the nights start to get darker earlier. With this in mind, Amazon has also slashed the price of the Blink Mini Pan-Tilt Camera from £34.99 to £18.99. The portable device has a rotating camera, HD video and two-way audio.

Elsewhere at Argos, the Tapo 2K 4MP Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi AI Home Security Camera is on sale for £24.99. With night vision and two-way audio, buyers have called it a "good camera" that is "easy to install."

The Ring Indoor Camera has been given an impressive 4.6 out of five-star rating by Amazon shoppers. One said: "Another great product from Ring, very easy to set up, no technical knowledge needed. Up and running in 5 minutes. Paired with a doorbell chime for alerts, the siren is really good. Great little addition."

A second added: "Without question, the absolute best pet cam on the market. These Ring pet cams are an absolute game-changer. We've been using them for months now and have not had a single issue, couldn't recommend them enough."

A third buyer agreed, saying: "This gives a little added security alongside our Ring Doorbell. I had to mount it on a bracket inside the window frame so it would give a good view outside. It's easy to install and set up, and the app is brilliant."

Not every buyer was quite so impressed, however. One disappointed reviewer said: "Be warned that you will have to pay more for your monthly subscription if you already have a Ring Doorbell, which I think is unfair, but the camera is good, but not very sensitive and yes, I have put it on max for sensitivity."

With more than 7,400 reviews on Amazon alone, the Ring Indoor has achieved 78% of five-star reviews. Another one of these said: "I love this camera. I have three ring cameras but this is by far my favourite one, it has a crystal clear image picks up literally everything if anything too much but never misses a thing best camera I've ever had love it highly recommend."

Cashback will be tracked and displayed in your TopCashback account within seven working days of the transaction.

The cashback will become available for withdrawal and spending once Amazon has remitted the commission to TopCashback for the purchase.
