BELFAST -- On Thursday, Jan. 23, The Underground Lounge in Belfast will welcome singer-songwriter Ben Griffin and Nikita Morin to the stage for the next show in its off-season performance series. The music begins at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) in the heart of town at 17 Court Street, under the Basil Burwell Community Theatre.

Griffin's most recent album, "For Certain," was released on Bandcamp in November of 2023. With evocative lyrics and gorgeous vocal harmonies, Griffin's songs express his personal journey through love, creativity and self-appreciation. Based in Bath, Morin is a folk musician who has performed up and down the midcoast. Her latest single "Get Lost" was released on Spotify in August of 2024. Morin's lyrics and gorgeous vocals create a sense of calm and reflection that suits a night at The Underground Lounge perfectly. Visit her Spotify profile to hear more.

Located in the basement of the Basil Burwell Community Theatre, the Underground Lounge is a purely volunteer-led group which brings people together through the long Maine off-season. $10 (cash only) at the door gets you in, and $20 is considered a generous donation toward maintaining the series into the future. All of the proceeds, after rent and expenses, go to the performers.
