The 'Saltburn' actor hyped up the 'Busy Woman' singer on Instagram Thursday, Aug. 29

The online interaction comes just 10 days after a source exclusively told PEOPLE on Aug. 19 that the relationship between Carpenter and Keoghan is "on and off." Three days before that, on Aug. 16, Keoghan also seemingly responded to the breakup rumors by liking the "Espresso" singer's flirty Instagram post, which showed her in baby blue lingerie.

The pair initially sparked romance speculation in December 2023 when they were spotted on a dinner date in Los Angeles, just three months after they met at Paris Fashion Week in September.

By June of this year, their relationship seemed in full swing, with Keoghan even starring in Carpenter's steamy "Please Please Please" music video, in which she handcuffs him to a chair, tapes his mouth shut and plants a lipstick-filled kiss on him with the tape blocking their lips from touching.

The video helped propel "Please Please Please" to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, becoming Carpenter's first chart-topper.
