After a tense practice earlier this week, the New York Jets are ready to hit the field for their first preseason matchup.

While this season will mark a comeback for quarterback and captain Aaron Rodgers, who tore his achilles during the first game of the 2023-2024 season, don't expect to see him on the field this afternoon.

Rodgers was held out of Thursday's practice due to weather and he is not slated to play today or in next week's game against the Carolina Panthers. Rodgers and head coach Robert Saleh haven't ruled out the final preseason game against local rivals New York Giants yet, though.
