Dubois, of Terrebonne, Que., was third in the men's 1,000-metre event in 1:25.283. Jens Van 'T Wout of the Netherlands earned the victory (1:25.147) with Italian Pietro Sighel taking silver (1:25.195).
"Of course, I would have liked to be higher on the podium, but I haven't finished lower than sixth in any of the distances I've competed in this year," Dubois said. "That's good consistency and good confidence, and I think I can give it a little more next week to go for the gold medal."
Dubois teamed with William Dandjinou, Florence Brunelle and Danae Blais to earn Canada a bronze in the 2,000-metre mixed relay. The Canadians finished in 2:40.224 behind the Netherlands (2:40.224) and Korea (2:40.155).
Sarault sits atop the women's standings with 570 points, 90 ahead of American Corrine Stoddard. Dandjinou, of Montreal, leads the men's standings with 642 points, comfortably ahead of Sighel (432) and Dubois (422).
