Dorset is home to a huge number of small but scenic villages, one of which is Tarrant Monkton.
Here's all you need to know about Tarrant Monkton, including what you can find there.
Tarrant Monkton has a small number of people living in it, with Dorset Council listing the parish as a whole as having 1,414 residents, which includes those living in the nearby Blandford Camp.
Meanwhile, the Dorset Parishes website says the village itself has approximately 120 residents.
There's not a huge amount to find in Tarant Monkton itself, with it mainly being made up of narrow lanes and a small number of thatched cottages.
One point of interest in the village is All Saints Church, with the oldest part of the structure dating back to around 1400, according to Dorset Building Stone.
It adds: "In the interior, the piers and arches leading to the north aisle appear to be of Portland Freestone from the Isle of Portland. The square font is of traditional Purbeck style, dated 12th century."
Aside from that, there are a few places to stay, such as The Bolthole and Drongstyle Cottage, and a couple of farms towards the outskirts of the village.
Visitors can enjoy several walks around the area that start or finish within the village, including the seven-mile Tarrant Monkton and Tarrant Rushton trail.
Despite its tiny size, Tarrant Monkton does have a pub you can visit in The Langton Arms.
The establishment describes itself as "an award-winning thatched country freehouse pub" on its website.
It adds: "Proud to have been owned & managed by the same local family for 26 years, we have something to offer everyone."
The pub's food menu uses local meat and fish, and wherever possible, their produce and ingredients are locally sourced.
Alongside the pub itself, they offer six en-suite bedrooms for guests to stay in if they desire.
The Langton Ams has been well-received by visitors, earning a 4.4/5 score on Tripadvisor from 469 reviews.
