"We've decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths," they said in a joint statement.
"Love Is Blind" couple Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton have called it quits.
After finding love on Season 3 of the hit Netflix series, the couple decided to part ways after spending nearly four years together.
In a joint statement shared on Instagram May 23, they announced they were getting a divorce.
"Hi everyone, we wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we've decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths," they said in their joint statement. "We've been separated for some time now and have been doing our best to work through everything privately and with care."
"This was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly," their statement continued. "It came with a lot of thought and it's been an emotional process for both of us. We met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we'll always be grateful for the love and memories we've shared. There's not one thing we would change and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another."
The pair ended their statement by thanking their fans for their support and asking people to show them "compassion" as they "navigate this transition."
TODAY.com reached out for additional comment on their breakup, but did not hear back.
On Season 3 of "Love Is Blind," Reed and Bolton faced many obstacles during their courtship. During their season, they were seen getting into an explosive arguments after Bolton learned that Reed was having flirtatious conversations with another contestant.
Though they eventually worked through it and tied the knot in the finale, fans couldn't help but notice that Reed looked visibly "uncomfortable" at the reunion.
Responding to the claims, Reed told Cosmopolitan UK that she was not in a "good headspace" leading up to the reunion as she was "dealing with a lot of anxiety" from all the backlash she experienced from being on the show.
"While I knew what I had signed up for, at that point I was not prepared for the gravity of strangers critiquing my profession that I am incredibly proud of, my character, and tearing down my body/physical traits," she said.
Then, after nearly two years of marriage, Reed announced that she and Bolton were moving in together. While appearing on "Out of the Pods," in 2023, she said they weren't living together after the show ended because of their "finances" and a few "other factors."
"He lived in Fort Worth and I lived in Dallas. That is an hour away. So, it was almost like a long distance relationship a little bit," she said.
Reed said that she was happy to start living under the same roof as Bolton and that so far they've just been visiting each other and staying at the other's home.
"I mean, if I can live with this man in a studio, then I can live with him wherever because I can't get away from him in these four walls," she quipped.
