HEYBURN -- An apparent electrical fire Wednesday night south of Heyburn spread to a home and vehicles, causing an undetermined amount of damage, officials say.

Heyburn Fire and Rescue was dispatched to what was initially reported as a shed fire south of town at 11:56 p.m. but firefighters responding to the scene were soon told the fire had spread to the home and another structure was threatened, a social media post said.

The East End Fire Department was called to assist.

By the time the first engine arrived, firefighters saw flames from the garage area, plus nearby vehicles were also on fire.

The effort involved four engines, a brush truck and 12 firefighters. Firefighters remained on the scene until 4 a.m.

The home sustained significant damage, along with the vehicles, while a neighboring home was not damaged.
