KINGSTON, Okla. -- A suspect has been charged with murder following a homicide in Kingston, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
According to OSBI, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office requested them to investigate a homicide on June 28.
The Marshall County dispatch received a call before 9:3-0 p.m. regarding a shooting at a residence in the 14000 block of Texoma Christian Camp Road in Kingston. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered Donald Cole, 42, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
During the investigation, OSBI determined Christopher Bridenthal, 37, shot Cole at the residence.
Bridenthal was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm after felony conviction. He was booked into the Marshall County jail.
After OSBI provided their investigative report to the Marshall County District Attorney's Office, Bridenthal was also charged with second-degree murder on November 10 based on the investigation and evidence collected.
