Odds on the next Republic of Ireland manager have come to light, with Heimir Hallgrimsson under increasing pressure.
Ireland's World Cup dream could be in tatters after a hugely disappointing start to their qualifying campaign.
Question marks surround Hallgrimsson's future after Ireland secured a comeback draw at home to Hungary before losing away at Armenia.
Their task doesn't get any easier when they face a trip to Portugal in their next qualifier.
The FAI were forced to release a statement suggesting that Hallgrimsson will see out the qualifying period before a decision is made on his future.
However, the Icelandic boss admitted it could take a miracle for them to book their spot on the plane to USA, Canada and Mexico.
With the knives sharpening, several names are already emerging from the rough to manage the national side.
Irish bookmakers currently have Damien Duff as the 7/2 favourite to take the position as he seeks a new job in management.
The former Chelsea and Fulham winger will certainly be a popular choice, fuelled by his managerial success with Shelbourne.
Duff dramatically quit as Shels boss three months ago following three and a half years in charge.
He guided his side to the league title last season, the first time Shelbourne were crowned League of Ireland champions since 2006.
Chris Hughton, who last managed Ghana, is the second 4/1 favourite ahead of John O'Shea. The 44-year-old is the current assistant manager of the national side and has earned 118 caps for his country.
Nuno Espirito Santo appears an optimistic name at 11/2 while Shamrock Rovers' Stephen Bradley is 6/1.
Another option could be Robbie Keane (15/2) who is quietly learning his trade with Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
With Ireland bottom of the group alongside Hungary, Hallgrimsson has taken the blame for the recent results.
He said: "I will take the blame, the players need support, and we need to encourage them. They are going back to their clubs and hopefully they come back in four weeks' time ready for the next challenge.
"It is an off day, and we have to look inside and see what we can do differently.
"The job of the coach, if they are not producing, then of course it is always a question.
"I am not naive, it is understandable now and after this performance.
"Everything needs to be perfect from now on and after this, it is difficult to be optimistic that we will go to Portugal and win those games with a performance like that."
