The Electoral Commission of Jamaica (ECJ) is reporting progress in the final counting of ballots from Wednesday's general election, with counting completed in 37 of the 63 constituencies.
This was the count as of midday on Saturday, September 6.
The ECJ says approximately 83 per cent of the 7,294 boxes across the island have been counted.
Counting of ballots continues in the remaining 26 constituencies by returning officers, in the presence of the candidates and/or their representatives.
The final count has been completed for the Olympic Gardens electoral division, while counting continues for Denham Town and Chancery Hall.
