ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A St. Petersburg woman was charged with DUI manslaughter after she allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian on Friday, authorities said.
Kimberly Barham, 29, was arrested by the St. Petersburg Police Department about an hour after the crash occurred.
At about 9:45 p.m., Bartham was driving a silver Land Rover SUV southbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South when she struck pedestrian, Tevin Griffin, 32, of St. Petersburg, police officials said.
Griffin was crossing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South in an unmarked crosswalk, from west to east on the north side of 20th Avenue South.
Barham then left the scene of the crash, police officials said
Griffin was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Barham was additionally charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
