Fans of electronic music know that Tomorrowland is the premier event for the music and culture of the genre. A recap of Google searches in 2024 reveals that the event earned a place amongst the most researched content on the platform.
For over two decades, Google and Tomorrowland have set themselves apart as leaders of their perspective fields. Google reimagined how the internet and information would shape society, engaging technology to allow access to nearly any topic with a quick search. With so much data and inputs running through the servers, the team has taken the time to break down the content, individuals, and events that were the most searched for throughout 2024. In Google's Year in Search recap, topics such as the Olympics, US Presidents, movies, music, and more found their way into the most sought-after topics among users.
Included in this elite list, is the 20th anniversary of Tomorrowland, having took place over the summer in Belgium and also made the cut. With the theme of Life, the event took place across two weekends in July and featured sets from Swedish House Mafia, Hardwell, Sara Landry, Anyma, and many more. Having accommodated over 400,000 fans in person, plus a massive viewership via the live stream, it should come as no surprise that the event earned a place on Google's Year in Search list.
