Mahomes and Who's In, Who's Out for Chiefs vs. Lions?

The Kansas City Chiefs lost their first preseason game 26-13 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but both team's starters only played a handful of snaps.

In the team's second game against the Detroit Lions, fans will see more of Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the starters, as Andy Reid revealed that he will play them the entire first half.

This means that fans will get to see more from some of the Chiefs' new weapons, namely rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy. Mahomes would love for him to step up, as one of his new weapons has been sidelined with an injury.

In the team's loss to the Jags in Week 1 of the preseason, Marquise Brown caught a pass on the very first play, but then landed awkwardly on his shoulder. The team said that he will be out 4-6 weeks, so they will be hoping to have him back very soon.

The team also has a number of players on the injury report whose expected return date is today, including Chris Jones, Jawaan Taylor, Wanya Morris, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. But more than likely, the team will decide to play it safe and keep those guys on the sideline to help them recover quicker.

This game could be a great opportunity for some of the Chiefs' other weapons to step up in the absence of Brown, and prove they can help the team in their journey to win their third straight Super Bowl.
