TRICHY: The DMK alliance is stronger than any other alliance, minister and DMK principal secretary K N Nehru said on Saturday.Hitting out at the opposition, Nehru said AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami had claimed that new parties would join their alliance. "But key administrators including T T V Dhinakaran and O Panneerselvam have left him. PMK is divided into two groups, DMDK has not chosen an alliance, and Seeman has said he will stand alone. The DMK alliance is stronger than any other alliance," he said. Nehru said that former BJP state president K Annamalai himself had admitted that the DMK is strong, which, he added, showed the party's strength. Chairing a meeting with district functionaries at Kalaignar Arivalayam here, Nehru appealed to the cadres to gear up for the upcoming elections. "The DMK should be ready to face the elections. Our role will be crucial, and chief minister M K Stalin has advised us not to criticise other party members in any wrong way. Whoever comes, DMK will win the elections," Nehru said.Nehru said Stalin would arrive in Trichy by air on Sept 17 before proceeding to Karur to participate in the 'Muuperum Vizha'. He called on party cadres from Trichy to attend the event in large numbers.
