LIVONIA, La. (WAFB) - The Pointe Coupee Fire District 4 is celebrating the grand opening of its new fire station in Livonia.

Current and past firefighters, public safety partners, and government officials are invited to attend a dedication ceremony at Fire Station 40 on Thursday, Aug. 4. The event begins at 11 a.m.

Community members can see the new station for themselves on Saturday, Oct. 4, during the fire department's annual open house and Fire Prevention Day.
