Criminal Law: Second-Degree Murder-Interrogating Detective's Testimony

Criminal Law: Second-Degree Murder-Interrogating Detective's Testimony

Defendant appealed his conviction for second-degree murder and armed criminal action, arguing that the trial court erred in allowing the interrogating detective, whose interrogation was played for the jury, to testify and demonstrate how defendant held the murder weapon when he shot the victim.

Where defendant failed to show that the admission of the testimony constituted manifest injustice or a miscarriage of justice, the court found no plain error.

Judgment is affirmed.
