The International Student Broadcasting Championship revealed its 2024 competition, celebrating outstanding student talent across radio, podcasting, and digital content. The ISBC Station of the Year award went to John Carroll University's WJCU in Cleveland.
The event featured competitors from universities and colleges across five continents, competing in 38 categories such as on-air talent, podcasting, sports, social media content, and production.
Other notable winners include Margaret DiRoma from WOLF Radio at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, who took home three awards, including Best New Podcast and Best News Feature.
Toby Penman of Youth's Choice at Global Academy in the UK achieved repeat victories for Best On-Air Talent and Best Music Presenter, while Matt & Issy for Breakfast from Shock Radio at the University of Salford, England, won Best On-Air Team for the second consecutive year. The awards also honored rising stars such as Asha Pickering of BOOM Radio in Western Australia and standout shows like Indie Hour by Tshepang Moji from TuksFM at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
The 2024 awards featured an international judging panel of over 50 industry professionals from 21 countries. A full list of the 2024 winners is available on the ISBC site.

ISBC plans a visit to the States in 2025 to personally deliver the Station of the Year award to WJCU and connect more with North America's college radio market.
