On behalf of hundreds of seniors who plan to continue living in Annapolis at our retirement community, I am writing to express our deep appreciation for the Annapolis City Council's recent resolution in support of The Village at Providence Point.
Our future residents have shown tremendous patience and commitment as plans for the community secured approvals by the city and state and now await a ruling by the Appellate Court of Maryland. These are people deeply invested in Annapolis -- longtime business leaders, volunteers, and community supporters who have dedicated decades to raising families here and helping make Annapolis what it is today.
The Council's decision reflects a thoughtful understanding of the future residents' unique needs and acknowledges their invaluable contributions to Annapolis. Each future resident is aware of and applauds the Council's action. This resolution signals growing support as we get closer to making The Village at Providence Point a reality, ensuring these individuals can thrive and stay connected to the community they helped build.
Thank you, council members, for your vision and your full support of The Village at Providence Point. I hope others in Annapolis will join me in celebrating this positive step toward creating a caring and welcoming community for older adults at Providence Point.
