BOILING SPRINGS -- Who doesn't like free coffee?
Clutch Coffee Bar, a North Carolina-based drive-through coffee bar, will give out free coffee opening day at its new Boiling Springs location.
Customers can head to the Clutch Coffee Bar at 2209 Boiling Springs Road on Aug. 17 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. to get a free small 16-ounce coffee per visit. There's no limit on the number of visits.
There will also be live music with a DJ and coffee giveaways throughout the day. Customers can also win free coffee for a month by downloading the Clutch Rewards app and attending the opening.
The menu features fair-trade coffee, caramel macchiatos, iced lattes, flavored-infused energy drinks, teas, smoothies, pastries and more.
Darren Spicer, Clutch Coffee Bar co-founder, said the giveaway is to let customers try the brand's coffee.
"Just trying to give people an opportunity to experience Clutch and see what we're about in a risk-free way," Spicer said.

For those who can't wait, the new location will have a soft opening Aug. 15-16 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., sans the free cups of Joe.
Spicer said the business expanded into Boiling Springs because of the community and its recent growth.
"We really look for communities that have a community feel and it's not just a pass through," he said. "I think we see that and feel that with Boiling Springs."
The opening will create at least 30 jobs and possibly up to around 45. The starting pay is $11.75 per hour, plus tips.
Founded in 2018, the business is spread across the Carolinas. This will be its third location in the Upstate and has 13 overall. It opened in Greenville in August 2023 and has several spots in the Midlands.

Spicer said the company plans to expand into the Lowcountry soon, with a Charleston location expected to open in early 2025.
Part of the brand is quick service. Spicer said it aims to be efficient like Chick-fil-A.
"It's an experience, it's a feeling and a great product," Spicer said.
The business has already made its presence known with charitable efforts. It provided free coffee to local high school faculty in recent weeks.
These contributions are part of the company's fabric, Spicer said. He said it's not only the right thing to do but also builds relationships within the community that he said shows it's not just a chain coffee business.
Boiling Springs has seen rapid growth in recent years. The census-designated place has a population of over 10,000 people, according to 2020 U.S. Census Bureau data.
A new Target is set to open Aug. 18 in the officially unincorporated area of Spartanburg County. South Carolina's first Whataburger restaurant just opened in Boiling Springs in July. Closer to Clutch, an Andy's Frozen Custard is expected to open soon.
The growth has brought traffic headaches to some residents but Spartanburg County Councilman Jack Mabry, who represents the area, has pleaded for patience amid growing pains.
"There is going to be some traffic and we'll all kind of have to get used to it and just be cognizant of everything that's going on," Mabry said in July.
