Political organizations around the world have spoken out against the U.S. missile destroyer's attack on the Venezuelan vessel Carmen Rosa, which was carrying tuna fishermen.
This Saturday, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, denounced that a U.S. Navy ship "was illegally and hostilely besieged by a U.S. Navy destroyer, the USS Jason Dunhan, equipped with powerful cruise missiles," which, according to Venezuelan authorities, would seek an incident that would justify an escalation of the war in the Caribbean.
The serious incident has sparked worldwide condemnation, with political organizations and social movements issuing a statement from the Dominican Republic, stating that it constitutes a violation of international law.
They point out that the action carried out by the US-flagged destroyer is typical of the pirate era and therefore demand that the US Navy immediately withdraw its nuclear ships and submarines from the Caribbean Sea.
They point out that Venezuela is a zone of peace, and no country can claim the right to impose its military force over national sovereignty.

Communication
US warships out of the Caribbean, Zone of Peace!
The undersigned political and social organizations from the Dominican Republic fully support the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela's denunciation of the aggression committed by the United States missile destroyer against the Venezuelan tuna vessel Carmen Rosa, within the waters of its Exclusive Economic Zone. This hostile act represents an unacceptable violation of international law and the norms that guarantee peaceful coexistence among nations, as it illegally and cowardly attacks humble Venezuelan fishermen.
We categorically reject these practices, typical of an age of privateers, and demand that the United States immediately withdraw its nuclear-powered ships and submarines from Caribbean waters. The Caribbean is and must remain a Zone of Peace, as established by international resolutions and treaties, and no country in the world can proclaim itself with the right to impose its military force over national sovereignty and the protocols governing international relations.
The dignity of the Venezuelan people is not negotiable or subservient. Venezuela will never be a slave to US imperialism, and in the name of the solidarity of the peoples of the Caribbean and Our America, we reaffirm that we will defend peace, sovereignty, and self-determination against all imperial provocation and threat.
Venezuela is not a threat, Venezuela is a HOPE!
Signed in Santo Domingo on the 13th day of September 2025.

From Europe they also speak out
From Europe, the Association of Refugees from Latin America and the Caribbean in Belgium (ARLAC) also spoke out in favor of the Venezuelan government, expressing its concern about the recent violation of the sovereignty of the South American country, referring portal of VTV.
They warned that the US destroyer's attack on the fishing vessel represents a dangerous and unjustified escalation of regional tensions. The Belgian association asserts in its statement that the incident is part of a strategy that includes economic sanctions, financial blockades, and political destabilization campaigns.
In this regard, it states that these types of measures have had a severe impact on the Venezuelan population, limiting access to medicines, food, and other resources, which represents a violation of basic human rights.
Given this situation, the Belgian Solidarity Association (ARLAC) has demanded the withdrawal of all US military vessels from the Caribbean Sea and waters near Venezuela. It also condemns unilateral measures and disinformation campaigns aimed at justifying foreign intervention in the South American country and urges the international community to support diplomatic and legal mechanisms to resolve disputes, in line with the United Nations Charter and the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
