MIDDLEFIELD - The 170th annual Middlefield Fair, hosted by the Highland Agricultural Society, featured plenty of food, entertainment and agricultural shows.

The three-day weekend, held from Aug. 8-10, provided families of all ages a chance to experience a real New England fair. There were photo displays, open cattle shows, music, flowers, handicrafts, a pen of day-old piglets, and a kids zone full of games face painting and more.

Proceeds from the fair benefit the Middlefield Fair and the Emily Savery Memorial Scholarship of the Highland Agricultural Society.
