Gerard "Ronnie" Bond Gerard "Ronnie" Bond, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home, on May 8, 2025, at the age of 88. Ronnie was born on December 10, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, to June Whalen Bond and Gerard Bond. When he was about ten years old, his family relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he spent the rest of his life building a home and raising his family. Ronnie proudly served two years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, and later dedicated 30 years of hard work to Mountain Bell before retiring. He enjoyed the simple joys of life: fishing, playing Nintendo video games, going to the casino, and tending to his stunning garden. His yard, especially his roses, was the pride of the neighborhood. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce, and their three daughters: Roberta Bond and her wife Taryn, Robin Jones and her husband David, and Loretta McDonald and her husband Jeff. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Brandon, Austin, Jordan, Kennedy, and Nicholas, as well as his brother, Jerry Bond, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Bond and his wife Josie; his sister, Judy and her husband Jim Juliana; and Jerry's wife, Betty Bond. Ronnie will be remembered for his quiet strength, his humor, and the love he had for his family and his home. His legacy will continue in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Per his wishes, there will be no services. He will be cremated and his family will scatter his ashes privately. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice in his memory.
