Stevens Point community showing support for Small Business Saturday

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - The holiday season is underway, and it's a great opportunity to support small businesses here in North Central Wisconsin, especially during Small Business Saturday.

"Small businesses are what keep our community going," Tara Manzke, owner of Bria Bella & Co, said.

Supporting small businesses has been an important staple in Stevens Point.

"These are the people that step up and now is our time to support them," Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza said.

on Saturday, many shoppers flocked to one small business that is no stranger to serving the people of Stevens Point.

"(We've been in business for) 7.5 years. We're thrilled to be here (in) downtown Stevens Point. It's an incredible community," Manzke said.

Manzke says the community support on Saturday meant the world to her.

"Somebody walks through your door, that is a form of support...Every single person that steps through the door, means the world to us," Manzke said.

On Saturday, Lily and Vine's floral shop was another popular spot for shoppers.

"Everyone that comes in, we're so excited to see here. We're just so happy to have that support from the community," Ellie Weisbrot, manager at Lily and Vines Floral and Gifts, said.
