Six people were injured, two of them seriously, in an apartment fire in Towson overnight, Baltimore County fire officials report.

The fire broke out in the 8400 block of Greenway early Monday morning.

Firefighters arrived at the scene where they spotted flames and several people trapped inside.

They rescued four children with minor burns and two adults who suffered serious injuries.

The victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
