B.C. Lions sign five offensive players, including IFL standout Antonio Wimbush Jr.

The B.C. Lions have signed five American players, all of whom are on the offensive side of the ball. They include running back Antonio Wimbush Jr., receivers Jared Gipson and Kaedin Robinson, and offensive linemen Josh Castro and Christian Olmstead.

Wimbush Jr. has been a standout in the Indoor Football League (IFL) in recent years, rushing for 765 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2025 with the Vegas Knight Hawks. The five-foot-nine, 194-pound native of Kingsland, Ga. was also named the IFL Special Teams Player of the Year after returning 44 kicks for 854 yards and five scores.

Gipson attended training camp with the Lions in 2025 and played both preseason games, recording four catches for 39 yards. The native of Stockton, Calif. played collegiately at Sacramento State University where he caught 147 passes for 2,218 yards and 17 touchdowns to earn two second-team All-Big Sky selections.

Robinson played 34 collegiate games at Appalachian State University where he made 147 receptions for 2,614 yards and 14 touchdowns to rank top-ten all-time in all three categories in program history. He was named first-team All-Sun Belt in 2024.

Castro spent the last two seasons with the Bay Area Panthers and San Diego Strike Force of the IFL. The six-foot-three, 310-pound blocker was named second-team All-Conference at Cal Lutheran University in 2022 as part of a nomadic collegiate career that also included stops at the University of Nevada, Azusa Pacific, Angelo State, and Santa Monica Junior College.

Olmstead spent the 2021 season on the practice roster with the Montreal Alouettes, though he has since played for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the UFL. The native of Florence, Ky. native played in 42 collegiate games at Findlay University, an NCAA Division II program located in Findlay, Ohio.

The B.C. Lions finished second in the West Division standings in 2025 with an 11-7 record and beat the Calgary Stampeders in the West Semi-Final before losing the West Final to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Nathan Rourke threw for 5,290 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions over 16 regular-season starts, posting an 11-5 record. He was also named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player.
