MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Average gas prices in Myrtle Beach have fallen leading into the start of the holiday season, according to GasBuddy.
The price of gas in Myrtle Beach is averaging $2.61 per gallon, according to a survey of nearly 200 stations. That price has fallen more than six cents in the last week, per a weekly update from GasBuddy.
The company said gas prices are around five cents lower than last month, and around two cents higher than this point last year.
According to the survey, the cheapest gas station in Myrtle Beach was priced at $2.43 per gallon, the most expensive being $2.91 per gallon.
In South Carolina, GasBuddy says gas prices are unchanged from this past week, remaining at $2.71 per gallon.
In North Carolina, the price of gas has dropped three cents in the last week, currently $2.78 per gallon, the company said.
Nationally, the company says gas prices are down on average two cents per gallon from a month ago. However, prices are 2.5 cents higher per gallon compared to a year ago, according to GasBuddy.
