The Strictly Come Dancing result was leaked by a spoiler late on Saturday night as fans found out who'd made it to Blackpool
Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have threatened to 'boycott' the show, after a spoiler leaked this week's shocking result online just hours after the live show ended. And the outcome has left everyone both gobsmacked and furious.
Blackpool is a week that many Strictly pros, contestants and fans look forward to, mainly because making it that far means they'll get to dance in the iconic Tower Ballroom. The pressure was on the remaining eight couples left in the new series on Saturday, as they all had their eyes on next weekend and it proved to be a great night for Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, as they soared to the top of the leaderboard, after their near perfect paso doble got 38 out of 40.
That score saw them finish the evening one point ahead of Lewis Cope and Katya Jones, after their tango also impressed, with Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe in third place on 35. At the other end of the standings, after topping the leaderboard last week, Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington went from first to joint last, getting 27 out of 40 for their jive, the same mark Balvinder and Julian got for their American Smooth.
That left fans fearing the worst for Vicky, especially with her tied on the same score as Balvinder, leaving both the ex I'm A Celebrity winner and EastEnders star will an uphill battle to climb to stay in.
This week's spoiler leaked shortly before 11.30pm and the reaction from the second it dropped was huge.
After seeing it on X, one fan fumed: 'That's shocking and so wrong!' as a second ranted: 'Shocking decision from the judges'. Really upset at the result, a third posted: 'these two should NOT have been in the bottom two.' Among the many other reactions to the result was a another that read: 'This is a shocker, something must of happened!' as another fan said it was the first time this series that the 'wrong' person had gone.
