Ruben Amorim has been warned that there is still a 'bad attitude' problem at Manchester United.
The Portuguese boss is under pressure at Old Trafford having failed to get his Reds team in consistent form since taking the job a year ago. United have been struggling on the pitch and in the dressing room, but it hasn't been for the want of trying.
Amorim has attempted to overhaul the club in the transfer market, shipping out 'bomb squad' members Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho, while bringing in hungrier stars, like Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
So far this season, United have been stuttering at best, winning just three from their opening seven league games, but he has been given hope of getting a result at Anfield on Sunday.
Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders said that United still possess the quality to trouble any team on their day, including Liverpool, where Amorim takes his side later today.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sport, via Mighty Tips, Saunders said: "You never know which United's going to turn up, they can beat anyone on the day because they've got three attacking players.
"They've signed Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko, he's got a couple of goals so his confidence is good. They've got obviously (Bruno) Fernandes behind them as well.
"It's just defensively they don't look much better than they have done. But they will get results just to keep the manager's head above water.
"There's been a bad attitude at the club for a long time, I think he's gradually getting the players out who just pick the wages up.
"It's gradually getting them out and I think you don't get time, he needs a bit longer to sort it out, but I don't think he'll get the time."
Saunders then touched on co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's backing of Amorim, he continued: "It's alright Jim Ratcliffe saying that, and he has given him money to be fair, he's found some money from somewhere.
"But they sit in 10th in the league, which, strangely enough seems quite good at the minute for Man United doesn't it? But I think they're in better shape than they were last season, but there's still problems there."
