Watch Cole Swindell Sing in Honor of Charlie Kirk's Heavenly Birthday

Cole Swindell performed "Make Heaven Crowded," a song inspired by the death of Charlie Kirk, on what would have been the late conservative commentator's 32nd birthday.

The singer took the stage during an episode of Fox & Friends on Tuesday (Oct. 14).

Understated emotion coursed through Swindell's performance as he sang about finding unity and healing through a nationwide return to faith.

"Happy birthday, Charlie," Swindell said at the end of his performance.

Swindell took the stage with his full band for the performance.

The video shows him delivering a straight-ahead, smooth rendition of his emotional song, which calls for unity across political aisles in a time when the country is more contentiously divided than ever.

In its lyrics, he imagines a world that pays more attention to God and the values taught in the Bible.

"This whole world would look a lot better than we found it / If we make Heaven crowded," he concludes in the chorus.

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on Sept. 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.

The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, turned himself in following a 33-hour manhunt.

He remains in custody without bail and faces multiple charges, including capital murder. Prosecutors have stated that the death penalty is on the table if he's convicted.

Kirk was the CEO of Turning Point USA. After his death, his wife Erika was unanimously voted in to replace him.
