There has been a lot of tension surrounding India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2025. Earlier, when the two teams met, the Indian players refused to shake hands with the Pakistani side which left the skipper Salman Ali Agha, head coach Mike Hesson and Pakistan Cricket Board fuming. The PCB even lodged a complaint to ICC dragging match referee Andy Pycroft in the controversy.

The Pakistan team has once again skipped the pre-match press conference and the same happened in the last match against UAE. This has intensified the speculation about team's environment and the constant cancellation of the pre-match press conference has put Pakistan at the risk of punishment for violating tournament rules.

In a video released by ANI, when the reporters asked as to why Pakistan team missed the press conference the Mohsin Naqvi replied and said "We'll talk soon."

According to reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board, has also brought in motivational expert Dr Raheel Ahmed to work with the squad, underscoring the psychological strain on the Pakistani side.

In their last match here, India trounced Pakistan by seven wickets, entering the Super Fours with authority. Captain Suryakumar Yadav's authoritative six to seal the chase, along with his refusal to shake hands, ignited yet another storm on the field. Having completed the turnaround from Friday's triumph over Oman, the Men in Blue have yet another high-voltage evening awaiting them in Dubai.
