KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Lincoln baseball team dropped the first two games of a four-game series Saturday to the Parkside Rangers.
Parkside claimed the first contest by putting up 18 runs on 16 hits en route to an 18-4 win.
The Rangers used a nine-run second inning to pull away.
Drake Davidson got the start and went 1 2/3 innings, giving up nine runs on five hits. Carter Otto came on in relief and went 2 1/3, giving up seven runs on nine hits. Mac Biggs pitched the final two frames, giving up two runs on two hits.
Noah Gerritson got the start for Parkside and went five innings and gave up four runs on eight hits. Charlie Campbell came on in relief and pitched an inning, giving up no runs and no hits. Nick Tinajero pitched the final frame and gave up two hits.
Jayden Little led the Blue Tigers offensively and went 3-for-4 at the plate while driving in two.
Parkside posted a 17-6 victory in the second contest.
Brody Johns doubled in the opening frame to drive in two and give the Blue Tigers a 2-0 lead. Parkside responded with a three-run bottom half of the first to take a 3-2 lead and never looked back.
Austin Grube picked up the start for the Rangers (11-1), going three innings and allowing six runs on nine hits. William Hyland came on in relief and pitched the final four frames, giving up no runs and two hits.
Jacob Zahner got the start for Lincoln in the second outing and went 4 2/3 innings, giving up 11 runs on 13 hits. Cannon Feist came on in relief and went 1 1/3 innings, giving up six runs on five hits.
Andy Srboski IV went 3-for-4 in the contest for Lincoln. Miguel Pardon picked up two RBI.
Lincoln (2-10) is back in action at 10:30 a.m. today in the final two games of the series.
