BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) - A person has died and three others were injured after a fire in Bridgeport Monday afternoon.

Officials say that at around 4:50 p.m., units responded to the area of Connecticut Avenue for the blaze.

A second alarm was called for the fire shortly after units arrived.

Four adults and four children were displaced. The Red Cross are assisting them.

The Bridgeport Fire Marshal's office as well as the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion unit are investigating.
